Find a driving instructor near you.

Enter your postcode and tell us what you're looking for. We'll help connect you with instructors covering your area.

We're an introduction service, not a driving school. Lessons are delivered by independent instructors who set their own prices and availability.

The usual way

Stop calling instructors one by one.

Finding lessons shouldn't mean messaging ten driving schools just to discover who has availability. Tell us once what you need and let us help find the right match.

Questions

Before you start.

How does One Stop Driving work?

You tell us your postcode, whether you want manual or automatic, and when you'd like to start. We use those details to help connect your enquiry with independent driving instructors who cover your area. You then deal with the instructor directly.

Does One Stop Driving provide the lessons?

No. We are an introduction service. We do not provide driving lessons and we do not employ driving instructors.

Every lesson is delivered by an independent instructor or driving school. They set their own prices, terms, vehicle and availability, and your agreement for lessons is with them, not with us.

How much do driving lessons cost?

We don't set lesson prices and we don't take a cut of them. Instructors price their own lessons, and rates vary by area, by transmission and by whether you book single lessons or a block.

Ask for the hourly rate before you book anything, and check what a block booking covers if one is offered.

Can I find automatic driving lessons?

Yes. Choose Automatic when you tell us what you're looking for and we'll treat it as a requirement rather than a preference.

Worth knowing: in many areas there are fewer automatic instructors than manual ones, so an automatic match can take longer to find.

How quickly can I start?

That depends on instructor availability where you live, which is theirs to decide and not something we control. Tell us your preferred start time and we'll pass it on with your enquiry.

We won't promise you a start date, because we'd be promising something that isn't ours to give.

Which areas do you cover?

Coverage is strongest in major UK cities and the towns around them, and it's growing. The honest answer for any specific postcode is: enter it and see.

If we can't help in your area yet, we'd rather tell you than sit on your details.

How are instructors selected?

Instructors confirm to us that they are DVSA-approved and appropriately insured before we pass any enquiries to them, and they tell us which postcodes and lesson types they actually want.

We are not a regulator and we don't inspect anyone's vehicle. Before your first lesson, ask to see the instructor's ADI badge. An approved instructor displays a green one. You can also check an instructor's status on GOV.UK.
